Paul,
A fan who doesn't protest when the team isn't trying to compete isn't a fan, he's an imbecile. We're here bitching because we care. If we didn't care, then you could say we aren't fans. Pretty arrogant and pompous thing for you to write. |

According to Jeff Garcia, the Glazers are idiots...

And, probably true. The pompous ass has to kiss the Galzers' nuts to continue getting intimate access to Raheem Morris' secret thoughts.

I can't say I blame people for being fed up. Clayton, alone, is reason to seriously mistrust this coach/front office/ownership group. Stack all the other tripe on top of it and you've got a pretty sound basis for the hysteria that will haunt this organization for at least the rest of this year. |

Back in the day, instead of brooding and spouting endless (and pointless) negativity on internet chat boards 24-7-365 people just stopped going to the games, the games got blacked out and then they'd cheer for the Cowboys or 49ers instead. You didn't really have people talking about the Bucs much back when everyone just called them the yucks or the sucks or just laughed when you said you were a fan. Long time Buc fans survived the Krueger years and watching disasters like Testaverde, McCants and Bo unfold before our very eyes. We lived through Hugh Green being traded to the Fins and watching with horror as the first rounder we got for him evolved into Toast Jones. We watched in dismay as Dave Logan negotiated his way out of town when McKay and Krueger took their deal off the table and basically told him to hit the bricks and go play in the USFL. And just like the bullet that couldn't kill Broderick, watching Phil deal away a 1st round pick to the Colts for a defiant Chris fucking Chandelier who refused to even show up to camp didn't kill us either. It proved to be the last in a long line of head games being played with battered beaten and bruised Vinny, but we were all ready to see that bum get the hell out of town by then anyway. Still, we watched and we cheered on Sundays. In a way maybe it was easier to be a fan back before Al Gore invented the internets. People these days are moaning and crying in this latest "down" era of the Bucs as if we've somehow gone back to those Culverhouse days of blatant cheapskating and managerial ineptitude. Apparently most of those folks were not around back then because what we are seeing right now isn't anything at all like what it was like way back then. In my eyes these folks for the most part are post-Wyche or Glazer era only fans that really didn't follow the team back when it really was a bad time to be a Buc fan. They hitched onto the wagon in the late nineties for the most part and now they're miserable and crying at the first sign of turbulence. I really get a kick out of it because for the most part it is the same clowns who cheered on as Bruce Allen wrecked the team with a series of completely disastrous drafts. So I just sit back and grin as they piss an moan and carry on like a spoiled little kid that dropped his ba-ba in the sand. Because I know. Just like Doug Williams knows. And most of all Ritchie McKay knows too. He's the one who built the championship team we all cheered for, after all. |

This is far worse. Far worse. The core of a solid organization was decimated by the moronic cap management and fucked up trades of a coffee bringing fry cook, leaving their successors with no resources from which to build, and yet they managed to field a competitive team, winning a Super Bowl and three division championships in the process. Now we have . . . you know what we have.
